Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Cybernetic Serendipity

Yasmin discussion is going full steam down the way. Parallel to this, cameos as me would like to risk inferring ideas: why not put in the agenda a discussion about SECOND ORDER CYBERNETICS ART? Meanwhile, my radar is capturing interesting considerations inside sidekick forums, as NEW-MEDIA-CURATING list. First of all, folks have noticed the absence of female characters in CS and CSR. Paul Brown, representing the machos cyberneticists, has called off a possible new feminist crusade remembering that Margaret Masterman (with Robin McKinnon-Wood) showed her "Computerised Haiku" in CS. And it is supposed that Vera Molnar was there also. Taking another path, Christiane Paul (from Whitney) brought into light the Feedback exhibition she co-curated with Jemima Rellie and Charlie Gere for the Laboral Art center. And - hey! - I'd like to put myself in this boat, because I and Marcos Cuzziol are organizing a series of cybernetic art exhibitions here in Brazil! The present one has as theme the concept of EMERGENCE.

All in good time!

There's a sequence to the introduction of ideas behind CSR. We may not stick to it, if circumstances demand, but otherwise, keep a look out for insertions of new emphases and themes!

...and don't forget Franciszka Themerson designer of the CS exhibition and cover of the accompanying Studio International publication. Also Yolanda Sonnabend, who collaborated with Gordon Pask on "Colloquy of Mobiles".
